Position Overview:

Concentric Corporation is conducting a search for an experienced Senior Middleware Engineer to support enterprise integration architecture, middleware platform administration, and application connectivity initiatives across a complex technology environment.

This role will lead the design, support, and optimization of enterprise integration platforms that connect internal systems, cloud applications, and business-critical technologies. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in middleware technologies, API integrations, and enterprise integration patterns while serving as a strategic technical leader and mentor to development and engineering teams.

This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise initiatives focused on scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the administration, configuration, and ongoing support of enterprise middleware and integration platforms
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable integrations between internal and cloud-based systems
• Participate in all phases of application and integration delivery including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and IT teams to establish integration standards and technical direction
• Guide enterprise integration strategy, middleware governance, and platform improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, integration, and data flow issues across enterprise systems
• Participate in incident response and on-call support activities as needed
• Lead middleware platform upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives
• Develop and maintain integration documentation, standards, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Ensure solutions align with security, logging, monitoring, auditing, and performance expectations
• Mentor developers and integration engineers while promoting best practices and architectural consistency
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices across integration environments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• Several years of enterprise software engineering and middleware integration experience
• Strong experience with middleware and API management platforms
• Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, SOA, XML, WSDL, XSD, and enterprise integration concepts
• Experience with relational databases including SQL Server and Oracle
• Proficiency with Java and/or Groovy development
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and agile development environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities across complex integration environments
• Experience with security, monitoring, logging, policy management, and performance optimization
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale integration and API initiatives
• Familiarity with MuleSoft, Axway, Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, or similar technologies
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, SharePoint, or infrastructure automation tools
• Knowledge of Managed File Transfer platforms and messaging frameworks
• Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives
