Position Overview

The Principal Manager – Tax Lead will oversee complex tax planning and advisory engagements while helping guide the future growth of the office. This individual will play a critical role in developing staff, strengthening client relationships, supporting business development initiatives, and collaborating with firm leadership on strategic growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead technical tax resource for clients and internal team members
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and other pass-through entities
  • Review complex tax returns and planning strategies while ensuring accuracy and quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and community partners
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and tax professionals at all levels
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while establishing clear expectations and accountability
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to support long-term growth initiatives and strategic planning
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and service offerings
  • Support the continued evolution of the practice through innovation, leadership, and operational excellence
  • Serve as a visible representative of the firm within the local business community
  • Facilitate a smooth transition of client relationships and leadership responsibilities as part of the firm's succession planning efforts


Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.

Certifications: CPA designation required.

Years of Experience: 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.

  • Extensive experience with individual, partnership, and pass-through entity taxation
  • Strong tax planning and advisory background beyond compliance work
  • Proven ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients and business owners
