Position Overview

Concentric Corporation is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a service and parts facility in Omaha, NE.

This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for operations, financial performance, customer relationships, business development, team leadership, inventory, and facility management. The Service Operations Manager will oversee the parts and service functions while continuously identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, profitability, and the overall customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded operational leader who understands how to balance people, customers, and financial results. This person will be equally comfortable leading employees, reviewing performance metrics, resolving a customer issue, improving shop efficiency, and developing new business within the local market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the facility, including parts and service functions
  • Manage financial performance across sales, margins, expenses, and overall profitability
  • Establish and monitor operational goals to improve productivity, shop efficiency, and customer service
  • Develop and manage annual departmental budgets and provide corrective action plans when performance falls below expectations
  • Lead, coach, train, motivate, and evaluate employees across the operation
  • Ensure team members follow established company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand those partnerships
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Generate new business through customer outreach, relationship development, and offsite sales activity
  • Coordinate warranty, accounting, estimating, sales support, and other administrative activities associated with service operations
  • Oversee inventory and materials management to maintain appropriate availability while effectively managing investment and utilization
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and profitability
  • Maintain the overall condition, organization, and professional appearance of the facility
  • Identify facility maintenance or improvement needs and coordinate appropriate solutions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, workplace safety, and health requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments and locations to support customers and overall business objectives
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, and proprietary business information


Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of management experience within a service, parts, equipment, automotive, transportation, industrial, manufacturing, or related environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading employees and managing day-to-day operations
  • Experience managing or contributing to sales, margins, expenses, budgets, and profitability
  • Strong understanding of service operations, parts operations, or a comparable customer-focused business
  • Ability to identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement
  • Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Comfortable generating new business and conducting customer outreach
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve operational and customer issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record for occasional local travel


Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field
  • Experience overseeing both parts and service operations
  • Previous responsibility for a departmental or location-level P&L
  • Experience with inventory and materials management
  • Experience improving service productivity, workflow, or operational efficiency
  • Background within equipment, transportation, fleet, industrial service, or another service-intensive environment
