Architectural Sales Manager
Position Overview:
A growing organization within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry is seeking an Architectural Sales Manager to drive market growth and lead strategic relationships within the Tampa region.
This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with architects, designers, developers, and contractors while influencing specifications and project decisions early in the design process. The Architectural Sales Manager will play a key role in developing market strategy, building pipeline, and positioning solutions across a variety of projects.
This is a leadership-oriented, relationship-driven role ideal for someone who understands the architectural sales cycle and is motivated to grow market presence while supporting long-term business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, developers, and contractors
• Lead architectural outreach efforts to influence specifications and early project decisions
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow market share within the Tampa region
• Identify, track, and manage project opportunities from design through construction
• Provide product knowledge, presentations, and technical support to design professionals
• Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategy with project execution
• Monitor pipeline activity and maintain accurate reporting within CRM systems
• Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and project opportunities
• Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
• Support and mentor team members or collaborate across sales functions as needed
Work Environment:
• Onsite role based in Tampa, FL
• Frequent local travel for client meetings, presentations, and job site visits
• Field-based, relationship-focused sales environment
• Collaborative interaction with internal teams and external partners
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Five to eight years of experience in architectural sales, specification sales, or A/E/C industry sales
• Proven experience influencing specifications and working within project-based sales cycles
• Strong relationships within the architectural and design community preferred
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and pipeline management skills
• Experience using CRM systems to track activity and performance
• Self-motivated with a proactive and strategic approach to sales
Preferred Qualifications:
• Established presence in the Tampa market
• Experience managing territory growth or leading strategic sales initiatives
• Background in building materials, construction products, or related industries
• Experience mentoring or leading others in a sales environment
