Position Overview:

A growing organization in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry is seeking an Architectural Sales Representative to drive growth and build strong relationships within the Tampa market.

 

This role focuses on working directly with architects, designers, developers, and contractors to position products and solutions early in the design and specification process. The Architectural Sales Representative will play a key role in influencing project decisions, developing long-term partnerships, and expanding market presence.

 

This is a highly visible, relationship-driven role ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, building trust with design professionals, and driving projects from concept through completion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, developers, and contractors
• Call on architectural firms to influence product specifications and early project decisions
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the Tampa market and surrounding areas
• Track and monitor project pipelines from design phase through construction
• Review project opportunities and collaborate internally on strategy and positioning
• Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
• Provide product knowledge, presentations, and technical guidance to clients
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project activity, and pipeline within CRM systems
• Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and project activity within the A/E/C industry
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction

 

Work Environment:

• Onsite role based in Tampa, FL
• Frequent local travel for client meetings, job site visits, and industry events
• Field-based, relationship-driven sales environment
• Collaborative work with internal sales, operations, and leadership teams

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Five to seven years of experience in architectural sales, specification sales, or related A/E/C industry sales
• Strong relationships within the architectural and design community preferred
• Experience influencing specifications and working within project-based sales cycles
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
• Experience using CRM systems to track pipeline and activity
• Self-motivated with a proactive, relationship-focused approach

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established presence in the Tampa market
• Experience working with architects on product specifications
• Background in building materials, construction products, or related industries
• Existing network of industry contacts
