Concentric Corporation is partnering with a growing organization to identify a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician in South Haven, MI. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day facility operations through proactive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of equipment, buildings, and grounds.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and variety in their day. The Maintenance Technician plays an important role in ensuring facilities, equipment, and deliveries operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

 

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and general repairs across equipment and facilities. This role also includes transporting materials and products using a company vehicle and ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed safely and on time.

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance such as inspecting motors, belts, drives, fluid levels, and filters

  • Start and observe equipment operation to identify performance issues or needed repairs

  • Diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

  • Review blueprints, manuals, or parts catalogs as needed to support repairs

  • Maintain records of maintenance work performed, including parts and costs

  • Inventory and requisition parts, tools, and supplies to ensure adequate stock

Facility and Grounds Maintenance

  • Perform general building maintenance including cleaning, minor repairs, painting, drywall, doors, windows, flooring, and roof repairs

  • Support grounds maintenance, including snow removal when needed

Transportation and Delivery Support

  • Operate company vehicles and equipment such as forklifts or passenger vehicles

  • Perform timely deliveries and pickups using company vehicles

  • Plan routes considering traffic, construction, and weather conditions

  • Use navigation tools to determine efficient travel routes

  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, clean, and in safe working condition

  • Professionally represent the company when interacting with clients, vendors, and the public

Communication and Safety

  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance needs and issues

  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and directives

  • Identify and report potential safety hazards or violations

  • Support quality standards and continuous improvement efforts

 

Qualifications:

  • Three to five or more years of related maintenance or mechanical experience preferred

  • Required DOT physical, medical exam, and appropriate driver’s or chauffeur license

  • Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, email, and web browsers

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment

  • Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials and supplies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-reporting skills

 

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, handle tools, and communicate verbally

  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
