Concentric Corporation is proud to partner with our client, a respected structural engineering firm, to identify a skilled Structural Inspector to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the field, values precision, and takes pride in ensuring that every structure meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out on-site where the action happens... walking the project, reviewing plans, and verifying that every beam, column, and connection meets design intent. The Structural Inspector serves as the trusted quality gatekeeper, collaborating closely with engineers and contractors to ensure that each project is built to last.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Inspection

• Perform on-site structural inspections for major construction projects.

• Verify that work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.

• Document site progress, conditions, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Reporting and Coordination

• Prepare detailed inspection reports summarizing observations, deficiencies, and recommendations.

• Collaborate directly with engineers, architects, and contractors to resolve field issues.

• Identify and communicate potential problems early to prevent costly rework.

Quality Assurance

• Maintain adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

• Uphold the integrity and consistency of all inspection documentation.

• Ensure that final construction aligns with the approved design and structural intent.

Continuous Development

• Stay informed on new inspection technologies, materials, and methods.

• Contribute to process improvements and maintain current knowledge of code updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of structural inspection experience.

• Licensed Building Inspector, Professional Engineer (PE), or Architect.

• Strong technical knowledge of structural systems and construction practices.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
