Concentric Corporation is conducting a search for a President to lead a growing commercial construction division within a well-established specialty contracting organization in the Greater Kansas City.

Position Overview:

The President will serve as the chief strategist, operator, and cultural leader for the division. This executive will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring operational rigor, strengthening financial performance, and enabling the business to scale sustainably.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires credibility in the commercial construction arena, comfort with field and office environments, strong financial acumen, and the ability to inspire both internal teams and external partners. The executive will work closely with ownership and senior leadership to execute long-term strategic initiatives while ensuring day-to-day performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic plans that support growth, profitability, and sustainable operations
• Assess market opportunities and competitive positioning to guide business expansion
• Oversee project delivery, field operations, estimating, scheduling, and project controls
• Manage budgets, forecasts, revenue performance, and P&L with discipline and accountability
• Drive operational improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction
• Build and develop a high-performing team across both field and office functions
• Foster a culture centered around respect, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Recruit, mentor, and develop talent to support organizational scale and succession planning
• Strengthen relationships with existing customers while expanding into strategic markets
• Support pricing strategy, proposal development, contract negotiations, and partnership growth
• Represent the business with clients, community stakeholders, and industry partners
• Maintain high standards for safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management
• Ensure organizational systems, processes, and reporting support future scale and consistency

Qualifications and Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction or general contracting
• Prior responsibility for P&L, budgeting, and broader operational oversight
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing complex operations
• Strong knowledge of project delivery, field operations, scheduling, estimating, and contracts
• Proven ability to build client relationships and represent an organization externally
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational leadership capabilities
• Experience scaling a business unit or leading during periods of growth (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred but not required)
