Concentric Corporation is conducting a search for a Senior Project Manager to join a growing commercial construction organization with a strong backlog of work and a collaborative field and office environment in Kansas City, MO. This is a key leadership position responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while supporting the ongoing development of project teams, processes, and client relationships.

The right candidate will oversee all phases of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring on-time delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager serves as the operational leader for multiple construction projects, providing direction across planning, scheduling, financial management, risk mitigation, and field execution. This role requires a balance of technical construction expertise, strong organizational skills, financial understanding, and leadership capability. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with superintendents, project engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects through planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, construction, and closeout
• Maintain full responsibility for project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and client satisfaction
• Coordinate field staff, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and logistics
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, contracts, and industry standards
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking
• Review and approve submittals, change orders, and schedules of values
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts when applicable
• Identify and implement actions to ensure project profitability and performance
• Promote a proactive safety culture and enforce regulatory compliance
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout all phases of construction
• Conduct regular site walks and performance reviews to evaluate quality and project progress
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project lifecycle
• Serve as the primary point of communication for owners, partners, and internal leadership
• Participate in progress meetings, reviews, and client-facing updates
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and training for Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field staff
• Support team performance through clear expectations, accountability, and operational structure
• Assist with resource planning, workload distribution, and performance evaluations
• Recommend and implement process enhancements that support operational efficiency and project success
• Engage in industry and networking activities to support company visibility and pipeline growth

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Lead Project Manager within commercial construction
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Strong background in vertical construction and interior build-out projects (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and contract documents
• Proficiency with construction project management systems and standard office applications
• Understanding of construction estimating, budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members
