Concentric Corporation is partnering with a manufacturing organization to identify a hands-on, people-focused Production Lead - Second Shift professional. This role is responsible for leading a team of approximately 15 employees while ensuring consistent performance across safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Production Lead - Second Shift plays a key role in daily execution and long-term operational stability. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily leadership and supervision for a team of approximately 15 manufacturing employees on 2nd shift
• Ensure production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards
• Lead by example through active presence on the production floor and direct engagement with team members
• Conduct annual performance reviews and facilitate regular one-on-one meetings focused on performance, development, and engagement
• Promote accountability related to attendance, performance, and safety expectations
• Lead and participate in routine safety audits, review findings with the team, and drive corrective actions
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards while fostering a proactive safety culture
• Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and waste reduction
• Develop, document, and implement standardized work processes to support consistency and scalability
• Utilize ERP systems to support production tracking, reporting, and operational visibility
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, engineering, operations, and support teams
• Lead and support operational projects such as equipment implementation, layout optimization, and process enhancements
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing skills development for team members
• Ensure consistent leadership coverage during extended shifts and regularly scheduled Saturdays

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience leading or supervising teams of approximately 15 employees
• Hands-on operational experience in assembly and welding environments
• Experience working with ERP systems in a production setting
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
• Proven ability to develop processes, improve systems, and drive operational consistency
• Experience conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing coaching
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining trust and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large industrial sewing equipment
• Safety certifications or formal safety training (OSHA preferred)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Location: South Haven, MI
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Schedule: Typically 10-hour shifts; Saturdays are a standard part of the schedule
Average Weekly Hours: Approximately 56 hours
